  기초과정의 「읽기」 지도 내용과 방법

• 교사가 들려주는 한글의 기본 자, 모음의 정확한 발음과 그 입의 모양을 잘 보고 따라할 수 있도록 지도한다.
• 그림을 이용하여 글자를 가르치고자 할 때, 학생들이 교사가 보여 주는 그림과 이에 해당하는 기본 자, 모음을 식별할 수 있도록 지도한다.
• 그림카드, 낱말카드, 숫자카드 등 보조자료를 이용하여 자, 모음의 읽기 및 듣기를 실시하며, 표시된 글자와 발음이 상이할 때는 교사가 그 단어를 여러 번 소리나는 대로 읽어 주어 기초과정에 있는 학생들이라 할지라도 음성학적 변화를 자연스럽게 익힐 수 있도록 한다.
• 기초과정에 속한 나이 어린 학생들의 주의를 집중시키기 위한 방법으로 동요 테이프를 이용하거나, 한글의 자, 모음 및 가르칠 단어 등을 녹음하여 학생들에게 들려주고 따라서 하도록 하는 방법도 좋다.
• 학생들을 여러 그룹으로 나누고 '따라서 동작하기' 및 '따라서 읽기'를 번갈아 가면서 실시하되 같은 내용을 여러 번 반복하여, 듣기 및 따라 읽기 연습을 자주 시키는 것이 좋다.

(a) Teach students to pronounce consonants and vowels of Hangul. Demonstrate accurate pronunciation and indicate correct movement of mouth.

(b) Show pictures of objects, and have students say corresponding Hangul names of the objects.

(c) Use picture cards, word cards, number cards and other supplementary material to practice pronouncing Hangul words. For words that sound differently from the way they are written, read them to students repeatedly until they learn the correct pronunciation.

(d) To maintain attention of toddlers, play taped songs and taped pronunciation of words, and have them repeat after the tapes.

(e) Divide students in several groups, and have them take turns in listening, reading, and repeating after teacher.

기초과정의 「읽기」 평가사항

• 교사가 읽어 주는 기본 자, 모음 혹은 단어를 잘 따라 읽는가?
• 그림과 그 이름을 바르게 식별할 수 있는가?
• 여러 단어를 나열해 놓고 같은 자음 혹은 모음을 잘 찾아내는가?
• 교사가 지적하는 한글의 기본 자, 모음을 올바르게 읽는가?
• 주위에 있는 물건, 대상의 이름을 말할 수 있는가? (몸의 각 부분, 가족의 호칭, 교실 내부 물건의 이름 등)
• 연결되는 그림의 내용을 말해 볼 수 있는가?
• 연결되는 그림의 한 부분을 빼고 그 빠진 그림의 이야기를 해 보기.
• 쉬운 동요를 부를 수 있는가?

(a) Can students repeat the Hangul words and letters that the teacher reads to them?

(b) Can students associate pictures of objects with their Hangul names?

(c) Can students find similar consonants and vowels in several different words?

(d) Can students clearly pronounce Hangul letters when prompted by the teacher?

(e) Can students name objects and people around them in Hangul? (For examples, body parts, family members, and objects in the classroom.)

(f) Can students tell a story given a series of picture illustrations?

(g) If one picture is missing from a series of pictures in a story, can students fill the gap and complete the story?

(h) Can students sing some Korean nursery songs?

기초과정의 「쓰기」 지도

• 글자교본을 이용하여 한글의 자, 모음을 하나씩 써 본다.
• 기초과정은 한글의 자, 모음의 모양 및 소리를 정확하게 연습시킨다.
• 글씨를 쓸 때는 '위에서 밑으로, 왼쪽에서 오른쪽으로'의 쓰기 원칙을 기초 과정에서부터 충실하게 지킬 수 있도록 지도한다.
• 학생들의 관심을 쉽게 유도하기 위해서 우선 이름 쓰는 연습을 한다.
• 자기 이름 쓰기
• 엄마, 아빠의 이름 쓰기
• 형제 자매의 이름 쓰기
• 좋아하는 대상의 이름 쓰기( 고양이, 개, 새, 음식, 장소, 사람.,etc.)
• 한글의 기본 자음-모음표를 보고 자기의 이름에 있는 자, 모음을 찾아 표시해 보기
• 한글 그림카드를 이용하여 그림의 이름을 말해 보도록 한 후 글자는 교사가 칠판 또는 OHP(Overhead Projector)를 이용하여 써 준 후에 따라 써 보도록 한다.
• 숫자를 이용하여 그 이름을 한글로 말하고 써 보도록 한다.

 (a) Practice writing consonants and vowels of Hangul letters using a pre-printed notebook.

 (b) Learn the correct shapes and sounds of Hangul letters.

 (c) Practice writing from top to bottom, and from left to right.

 (d) Practice writing students' names, their parents' names, siblings' names, and the names of their friends, pets, favorite food, favorite place, etc.

 (e) Show picture cards and have students say the names of objects in the cards. Teacher writes the names on the board or on either using the OHP (Overhead Projector) or LCD Projector and students repeat the writings in their notebook.

 (f) Learn Hangul names of numbers and practice writing them.

• 한글의 기본 자, 모음을 정확하게 쓸 수 있는가?
• 자기의 이름을 정확하게 쓸 수 있는가?
• 글씨를 '위에서 아래로, 왼쪽에서 오른쪽으로'의 원칙에 따라 바르게 쓰는가?
• 그림카드에 있는 글자의 자, 모음을 구별할 수 있는가?
• 숫자와 그 이름을 바르게 연결할 수 있는가?

     (a) Can students accurately write Hangul letters?

     (b) Can students write their names in Hangul?

     (c) Do students write Hangul letters from top to bottom and from left to right?

     (d) Can students distinguish different consonants and vowels of words in picture cards?

     (e) Can students count numbers in Hangul?
